St. Patrick Catholic Church
Solemnity of Saint Patrick
Friday, March 14, 2008
11:30am
Note Special Date for Mass

All parishioners and friends of St. Patrick's Catholic Church are cordially invited to join us for our annual celebration of the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick. Each year St. Patrick's Church welcomes cardinals, bishops, and priests from the Washington area to our parish as we remember the life of this beloved saint. In attendance will be some of Washington's leading Irish Americans, who have made so many contributions to our city and our parish community. We also look forward to the presence of representatives from the government of Ireland.

Adding to the festivities are the Washington DC Fire Department's Emerald Society Pipes and Drums greeting parishioners, children performing traditional Irish step dancing, and guest brass instrumentalists from Ireland performing traditional Irish hymns with our choir, accompanied by our famous pipe organ.

The principal celebrant and homilist for the 2008 Mass will be The Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington. Guest musicians include the choir and orchestra from Alexandra College, Milltown, Dublin, and Sanford Park School, Ranelagh, Dublin; prelude at 11:00am.

Be sure to wear something green and join us for this very special Mass!
