Ronald Stolk holds degrees in organ and church music from the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague, the Netherlands, where he studied with Johann Th. Lemckert. He also studied in Paris with Jean Langlais and Gaston Litaize and at the International Summer Academy for Organists in Haarlem.
He won the J.S. Bach Prize of the City of Wiesbaden (Germany), First Prize in the San Anselmo, Ca. Competition, First Prize in the American Guild of Organists National Competition in Organ Improvisation, and was a finalist in competitions in Haarlem, Strasbourg, and St. Albans (UK), where he received a Tournemire Medal.
He teaches at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art of The Catholic University of America. A past Dean of the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, he served as Coordinator for the Guild’s 2010 National Convention, attended by 2500 organists.
